Here are some helpful basic maintenance tips you can use to keep your house well maintained and be ensured that you won’t get affected with the damages caused from an insured event.
Regularly check the gutters. One of the most boring jobs that most of us don’t enjoy doing is checking the gutters regularly. One should check whether the gutters are clogged with leaves or dirt which can be the reason of the destruction to your walls. This problem is typically common during autumn since winter leaves keep falling in the gutters.
Always check you wirings. Through checking the wires of your appliance regularly, you are saved somehow from potentially losing your house due to fire. Fire due to faulty wiring is very typical so to avoid this from happening, check your wires regularly.
When you’re away, keep you water turned off. If you decide to leave home over for over a month or longer, try to ask your neighbour to check your house regularly especially for cracks. Also try to insulate your pipes especially during winter seasons to avoid it from breaking.
